Sandasiri Dunuwila Village

My village is Meegahalada. My school is very beautiful. Our town is Teldeniya. Our village has a very beautiful paddy field. Our village has very famous temple. It name is Sandagirilen Viharaya. Our villagers are Buddhist, Hindus and Muslims.  It has a big school name is Dunuwila Maha Bodhi Vidyalaya. It is in Kandy District.  There are many houses in my village. There is a school, hospital and post office in my village. I love my village.

My school name is Dunuwila Maha Bodhi Viduhala. There are about twenty one teachers in my school. My school is very beautiful. There are about five hundred forty students in my school. It has five building. My class is grade 9 B.  My class has twenty five students.

Our principal is Mr. Jayarathna Banda. Vice principal is Mr. Sarath Wickramarathna. Our class monitor is Ranga Supun.

It has a laboratory and library. Our English teacher is Mr. Weerasinghe. The head prefect is Sidath Bandara.

She is in grade three. My school is Dunuwila Maha Viduhala. I am the eldrest in my family. My hobbies are reading books and collecting magazines. My favourite actor is Vijaya Kumaratunga. Actress is Sangeetha  Weerarathne. Singers are Pandith Amaradewa and Nanda Malani. Cricketer is Sanath Jayasuriya. I like visit to Anuradhapura. My favorite’s subject is Sinhala and English. My father is Rathnayaka. My mother is Biso Manika. My father is farmer. I like to be a doctor.

Grade Nine

Victoria   reservoir is situated close to Karalliyadda town I Kandy.

This is a hydro power plant which was built with the aid of England. And this is the largest reservoir in Sri Lanka. This has been constructed over a large area which was called Teldeniya.  Because of this giant project people lost their properties and villages as well.

Yet the service that provides with this great resource is so precious. Because people use this water for so many requirements such as irrigating their cultivation and for their daily needs.

There are both advantage and disadvantages of this project. That is according to some people. Most water fountains are said to have dried up due to this reservoir.

Anyway, this Victoria reservoir is a useful and a fascinating resource that we have
